DENMARK PREMIERE

Did you miss Love Never Dies live broadcast? Don't you worry! We bring you this amazing video with the public entry to the theatre, cast and team interviews in the theatre's hall and dressing rooms! The video, we are afraid, only lasts till the show starts, those people who watched the broadcast at the time had a glimpse of the first musical numbers (Till I Hear You Sing and Coney Island Waltz), lucky them!

You'll find interviews with Paul Farworth (scenographer), Louise Fribo (Christine Daaé), Tomas Ambt Kofod (Phantom/Mr.Y) and Really Useful Group's Patrick Murphy discussing about the 2013's UKTour and confirming a new German production in two years or so, as well as some meetings that are being held with and american producer regarding Love Never Dies going to Broadway. You'll also see how the theatre gets his seats full, the freaks costumes and last minute arrangements in The Phantom's and Christine's dressing rooms.

As a gift to those watching the live broadcast, and not showed in this video, the company also offered us a peek to 'Till I Hear You Sing and Coney Island Waltz. Differing the UK production where Christine appears first as an automat and the Australian production where she was first seen as a portrait, the Danish production chose to reflect her figure as a shadow in a cloth that covered the stage, leaving visible only the Phantom and his piano. The Coney Island Waltz number shares more resemblance with the Australian. The broadcast was cut just before Only For Him started.

THE DET NY TEATER IS READY TO GLOW

Det Ny Teatre, the theatre where Love Never Dies is going to be premiered in October 24th in Denmark, has turned 104 years old and it's getting ready with painted and fixed walls, built scenarios, and rehearsals have already begun! The premiere is getting closer and closer and we're more than ready! What are you most excited to see? One month left for the big premiere and the musical has already sold 40 000 tickets!

Danish production's oficial site has shared the second audio of Love Never Dies, this time it's the Phantom's great theme, Till I Hear You Sing (Syng Endnu En Gang For Mig in Danish), sung by Tomas Ambt Kofod.

La página web oficial de la producción Danesa de Love Never Dies ha publicado el segundo audio en danés del musical, esta vez el protagonista es El Fantasma con el gran tema Till I Hear You Sing (llamada Syng Endnu En Gang For Mig en danés) y cantada por Tomas Ambt Kofod.

KAERLIGHED LEVER, LOVE NEVER DIES TRANSLATED

One of the big challenges of taking a musical to a foreign country with a different language is translating the song lyrics that make the play a masterpiece. It isn't just "translate" them, but to make them fit the music and keep the meaning and strength of the original one, so people around the world can enjoy and be thrilled the same way.

With this new production, the original lyrics had a few changes when they've been translated into Danish. So far, just one of the songs has been shared, Kærlighed Lever (Love Never Dies). In one of The Phantom of the Opera forum, a girl called Operafantomet translated the Danish version of the song into English again, for you! You can listen to the song, here.

Uno de los grandes retos de llevar un musical a un país de lengua extranjera es traducir las letras que componen la obra maestra. No solo basta con traducirla literalmente, tiene que acompañar a la música y no perder la fuerza de la canción y así personas de cada punta del globo puedan emocionarse de la misma manera :)

Así pues, con la nueva producción, las letras han sufrido pequeños cambios al traducirlas a Danés. De momento solo ha salido la canción Kærlighed Lever (Love Never Dies). Un usuario del foro de Love Never Dies dentro de la página de El Fantasma de la Ópera (enlace aquí) llamada Operafantomet tradujo la canción Danesa a inglés y de allí la he traducido a español, para todos vosotros! Love Never Dies continues its journey and we are so glad to announce to you that we have news for LNDBroadway and LNDJapan! As Andrew Lloyd Webber told Radio Times:

Love Never Dies has also had a new lease of life, after opening, closing, reopening and closing again in London in a year. But now it’s going to Broadway and then Japan and as for the Lord, he says, “It’s time to move on".

We're thrilled to hear the new arrangements, different scenarios and new costumes. The same story, but a totally different production. Remember that the main cast has already been announced! After finishing performances at Sydney and thanks to the good sells the musical had during its run in Australia and the worldwide DVD recording (check here to check when will be out in your country!), Love Never Dies will open a new production! This time the musical will be held in the beautiful city of Copenhague, Denmark. It all started with some rumours here and there, but the official site has come to life and, though there is no official announcement yet, we hope this production will come true! Maybe, in a while, the musical will meet the international spotlight it deserves! So far we know that performances will start this year, on October 24th.

LAST PERFORMANCES IN SYDNEY

Love Never Dies came to an end in Sydney.  We're hoping a new production can soon start in London or Broadway, as the DVD is going to be out soon and the musical will amaze many new followers. 

I take this opportunity to thank you Phans for all the support the musical has been given thanks to you, and the support you've also been giving to our blog. You know that this wouldn't be possible with all of you, so thank you so much to everyone for following this amazing experience with us, and making it grow day by day.

Love Never Dies llegó ya a su final en Sydney. Esperamos que con la salida del DVD pueda resurgir en Broadway o Londres y vuelva a deslumbrar los escenarios una vez más. Aprovecho para agradecer a todos los Phans por el apoyo al musical, y también por el apoyo que le dais a nuestro blog. El miedo se refleja en sus ojos al oír la melodía de Phantasma en la caja de música. La espera del momento en que él aparezca después de tantos años se hace eterna. Las puertas de la habitación se abren de par en par a un golpe de música. Ella se asusta. En un mundo de humo, el Fantasma se muestra como diez años antes, enmarcado por una superficie que bien podría ser un espejo, bien podría ser una puerta. Sus respiraciones rápidas se acompasan con la del otro con expectación. Ella se rinde, se desmaya. Y él corre a socorrerla.

La coge con delicadeza en brazos, y siguiendo la música la arropa contra su pecho. La música nos acompaña, nos acaricia. La deja con temor en la silla. Se agacha y acerca su mano a su mejilla con unos ojos inocentes, los de un niño que ha esperado largo tiempo para ser amado. Ella se despierta sobresaltada. Es él, no lo ha soñado. Está enfurecida; él intenta calmarla. Aparta su mano, no pretende asustarla. No quiere hacerle daño, pero ella no es consciente de nada, solo que él está allí, que ha vuelto a su vida, y que volverá a sufrir. Él la escucha, pero quiere tocarla, quiere que sepa que no le ocurrirá nada. Para ella es demasiado. Se levanta y le reprocha todo cuanto ha callado.

LOVE NEVER DIES PREMIERES IN SYDNEY

Love Never Dies was premiered two weeks ago in Sidney and so far is a big success! Check in our facebook page the latest reviews. There's been a lot of talking about taking the musical to new cities, even a Canada Tour! Two dancers from the show shared this video discussing Love Never Dies and their excitement on being in such a great production. 

The other video shares moments of the red carpet on the musical's premiere night. Two of our little Gustaves are interviewed, ready to their first performances, as well as Anna O'Byrne parents, amongst others! You can find some pictures of the premiere night, here. Love Never Dies estrenó hace más de dos semanas en la ciudad de Sydney y está arrasando por todo lo alto (visita nuestro facebook para leer la críticas más recientes). Ha gustado tanto que incluso se ha hablado de llevar el musical a nuevos países e incluso un posible tour por Canadá. Dos de las bailarinas de Meg subieron este vídeo hablando del musical y de lo emocionadas que estaban al poder estar dentro de esta maravillosa producción.
