TIHYSMonth AND US TOUR INTERVIEW HAUL

It looks like #TIHYSWeek has turned into #TIHYSMonth, but as we wait for more news to pop on the Japanese production (premiering in 2019), we wanted to compile some videos of interviews that the cast of the US Tour has been answering throughout the States. 

Bronson Norris Murphy, along with two TPAC staff members and Phantom Phanatics play some Love Never Dies and The Phantom of the Opera trivia at Two Bits in downtown Nashville. 

Kristin on Cue takes Bronson Norris Murphy to the Delta Fair & Music Festival (the "closest thing to Coney Island"). They chat on the Pherris Wheel, almost get stuck in the Hall of Mirrors, play fair games, and try Fried Oreos. 

Taylor from The Fabulous Fox sits down with Love Never Dies stars Bronson Norris Murphy and Meghan Picerno. Hear what they have to say about Andrew Lloyd Webber's sequel to The Phantom of the Opera. 

TILL I HEAR YOU SING CROWNED AS PHAN FAVOURITE SONG

Deal the cards! Let them fall! A month ago we started a series of polls to choose Love Never Dies fan favourite musical number. If you're following us on Twitter, you must have seen how your favourites have been heading to the next round over the last month, and today is the day we can finally announce a winner! 

Beneath a Moonless Sky and Till I Hear You Sing made it to the final round, and it has been rather fun to see how both songs made it to the top just to be topped by the other over the last three days. For half the time we had the poll running, both songs were winning 50/50%! And then, the last three days they kept topping one another again. But there can only be one winner! Finally, in the last hour before the poll closed, and just by two votes of difference, Till I Hear You Sing got on the podium as the most beloved song, followed extremely close by Beneath a Moonless Sky.

Thank you to anyone who participated, we know some of you struggled to vote one song over another, but in the end, it's been a fun month altogether, and this week we'll be celebrating through our social media (Twitter and Instagram) with #TIHYSWeek. So follow along to get peeks of every production's rendition of Till I Hear You Sing and walk down the memory lane with us.

Ben Lewis' performance was globally recorded for purchase as a musical movie. He originated the role in Australia after the reworked musical premiered at the Regent Theatre in Melbourne in 2011. You can find him now performing as The Phantom in the original Phantom of the Opera production in the West End.

Gardar Thor Cortes played The Phantom in the German production of Love Never Dies at Hamburg's Operettenhaus Theatre in 2015 and then revisited the role in the US Tour this year. He may not be performing anymore in the Tour (the role is now performed by Bronson Norris Murphy), but we'll always have this gem to listen to over and over again!

LOVE NEVER DIES SET TO RETURN TO JAPAN IN 2019

Love Never Dies is returning to Japan in 2019! Five years after the production opened at the Nissay Theatre, the show is returning for a second run at the same theatre. Love Never Dies will return Jan 15th–Feb 26th. 

We'll try our best to keep this page updated with everything Love Never Dies related, although the language is a small handicap for us as we do not speak, write nor understand a word in Japanese. BRONSON NORRIS MURPHY TAKES OVER AS THE PHANTOM

Bronson Norris Murphy takes over as The Phantom in Love Never Dies! We are so excited to hear this, but also not surprised at all! Bronson is best known for premiering the role of The Phantom in the first North American production of Love Never Dies as Phantom/Mr.Y (before Gardar joined the team, and then as his understudy), alternating Gardar's role with Meghan Picerno and Rachel Anne Moore as Christine. Gardar Thor Cortes announced his departure from the role with this warm words to his fans.

"As many of you already know I have now finished my run as the Phantom in the North American tour of Love Never Dies. The Phantom is now in good hands with my talented colleague Bronson and the production in whole, with the superb cast and crew still touring the States. This musical is truly magical and it’s such a pleasure to be a part of it. I’ve enjoyed seeing such a lot of America during the run and look forward to coming back to the States again as soon as possible. I just wanted to say thank you to all who came to see the show and supported me and a huge thank you to all my fans. I truly appreciate you all. I am back home in Iceland with my family having a well deserved break. And one other thing for my followers - Even though social media is definitely is not my strong side, as I am sure you all know by now, I want you all to know that I appreciate and am grateful for all your regards and warm words, photos and messages. I do read them."

Bronson comes directly from the long-running production of The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway where he has been seen as Raoul (and 9 other roles to date!). Other notable performances include the 30th Anniversary Company of CATS (Gus, Growltiger and Bustopher Jones) and multiple US productions of West Side Story as Tony. Regionally and on the concert stage, he has sung 40+ roles with various theatres and orchestras across the country.

ANNA O'BYRNE AND RAMIN KARIMLOO CONCERT ENGAGEMENTS THIS SUMMER

Original West End Phantom Ramin Karimloo and Australian Christine Anna O'Byrne (both starred in Love Never Dies) head to Australia this June with concert engagements planned in Sydney and Melbourne. We've collected some interview videos of them rehearsing and promoting these concerts as well as a surprise video of them performing together Andrew Lloyd Webber's Once Upon Another Time. Isn't it great to have them performing together?

Andrew Lloyd Webber is turning 70 years old on the 22nd of March and the angels of music from the house wanted to wish him a happy birthday with this talented tribute to his musical hits. Gustaves Casey Lyons and Jake Heston Miller share their musical renditions in this mashup video they shared on their Instagram page, the Gustave Academy. As they said, "Thank you for blessing the world with your beautiful music!".

Over the past 50 years, Andrew Lloyd Webber has delivered some of the biggest hits in musical theatre. This March, explore his iconic catalogue in ‘Unmasked: The Platinum Collection’, curated by Andrew himself and featuring newly recorded songs from superstar artists.

OUR TEAM INTERVIEWS GERÓNIMO RAUCH AT UNA NIT A BROADWAY IN BARCELONA

On December 22nd and 23rd, two concerts were held in Barcelona, where Andrew Lloyd Webber's masterpieces reached Spanish audiences. These melodies that have gained a place in the hearts of people around the world came from the Orquesta Sinfónica de Barcelona y Nacional de Cataluña (OBC), conducted by the director and musical supervisor Alfonso Casado, accompanied by the voices of John Owen-Jones, Geronimo Rauch, Joanna Ampil and Celinde Schoenmaker as soloists. A couple of days before the concert we had the great pleasure of meeting and interviewing with Gerónimo Rauch, a name that is not unknown in his natal city, Spain or the West End, as he has played well-known characters in the musical world such as The Phantom in Phantom of the Opera, Jean Valjean in Les Misérables or, recently, Joe Gillis in Sunset Boulevard.

We can't even begin to describe the talent that this artist shares with the world. And we're not talking just about his incredible voice, but the way he transmits with each word, each look and each gesture, he accompanies his songs with feeling and emotion. He was the one responsible for filling the theatre with our beloved Till I Hear You Sing, the first big ovation of that first Act of the concert, right after a magnificent orchestration of The Coney Island Waltz and followed by Celinde Schoenmaker with the main theme, Love Never Dies. In addition, I must mention the interpretation of his aria in Jesus Christ Superstar, with "Gethsemane", because it was too incredible to not write it down.

Before rehearsals, we met Gerónimo's in his dressing room, and he kindly invited us to share some moments of his career and his participation in the musical world, and the concert. Thank you very much for the warm welcome, the world will be too small for the talent he has yet to share! Here, the full interview.
